Prof. Kris Thurecht is senior group leader at the Centre for Advanced Imaging and the Australian Institute for Bioengineering, and is the Deputy Director, Imaging Technologies at the Centre for Advanced Imaging.
His research focusses on development of nanomedicines, and their application in molecular imaging and therapy. He has a particular interest in radiopharmaceuticals and works extensively with industry to improve this class of therapeutic.
His team works across the boundaries of chemistry, biology and imaging science to understand how materials interact with biology, and then use this information to develop new pharmaceuticals.
